LAHORE: Lahore has received light rain accompanied by a cool breeze in the wee hours of Saturday turning the climate pleasant and bringing respite from the heat in the last few days.
As per details, Abbott Road, Laxmi Chowk, Garhi Shahu, Shimla Pahari, Mall Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road, Peco Road, Defence, Kalma Chowk, Ghazi Road, and Gulberg received light rain.
Following the rain, the weather of Lahore turned lovely and a marginable decline in temperature also reported which ended the humid and hot conditions. Heavy rain as well as thunderstorms also recorded from different areas of the Punjab which included Daska, Pattoki, Wazirabad, Nowshera Virkan, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, and Shahkot and surrounding regions resulting in end of hot weather.

According to the Met Office Lahore and its surrounding regions are also likely to receive more rains in next 24 hours. The Met Office said that Rain-windstorm/thundershower is likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Potohar region, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad during the next twelve hours. It added that heavy fall/hailstorm is expected at isolated places in upper Punjab, Kashmir and Islamabad. However, hot and dry weather is likely in other parts of the country.
