FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Raja Riaz Ahmed on Sunday alleged that Liaqat Chattha, former Rawalpindi commissioner, was the most corrupt magistrate of Faisalabad.

Raja Riaz Ahmed, in a media conference, said that Liaqat Chattha made a very serious allegation regarding election “rigging”.

He said Liaqat Chattha accused rigging in general polls when he was nearing retirement. The former commissioner was bought by overseas Pakistanis for 250 million rupees, Raja alleged.

Chattha’s name should be included in ECL, he demanded.

Raja Riaz Refutes Rigging Allegations

Riaz said that he strongly refuted the rigging allegations levelled by Chattha and demanded a comprehensive probe into it.

Raja Riaz said that another heinous attempt like that of May 9 was made which failed. DROs and other staff were denying Liaqat Chattha’s allegations.
