ISLAMABAD: Afghanistan’s spin sensation Rashid Khan has registered his name in cricket history by equalling Dwayne Bravo’s record for the most wickets in T20 cricket.
Currently dazzling fans as a member of MI Cape Town in the SA20, Rashid reached this remarkable milestone during a thrilling showdown against the Pretoria Capitals at SuperSport Park in Centurion on January 31.
In an electrifying encounter that saw a staggering 417 runs scored across both innings, the Afghan maestro played a pivotal role in leading his team to triumph, finishing with impressive figures of 2 for 25 in his four overs.
His first scalp came in the 11th over, as he sent Pretoria Capitals’ captain Kyle Verreynne packing with a brilliant delivery that shattered the stumps.

Then, in the 15th over, he dispatched Marques Ackerman, thereby equaling Bravo’s illustrious tally of 631 T20 wickets.
