Ingredients
For Soaked Fish:
- Water (as required)
- 2 tbsp Shan Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 kg Rohu fish
For Lahori fried fish
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 3 cups gram flour
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 ½ tbsp Red chilli flakes
- 2 tbsp Crushed coriander seeds
- 2 tbsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Chaat masala
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Crushed cumin seeds
- Water (as required)
- Soaked fish
- Oil (for frying)
Method
- In a bowl, combine water, 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste, salt, and vinegar. Mix thoroughly. Then add the fish and soak for thirty minutes.
- Take the soaked fish in a bowl and coat it well with the flour.
- In another bowl, mix gram flour, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, red chilli flakes, crushed coriander seeds, red chilli powder, chaat masala, lemon juice, salt, crushed cumin seeds, and water. Blend the ingredients well.
- Add the coated fish to this marinade, ensuring an even coating.
- Deep fry the fish until it achieves a golden brown colour and is fully cooked. The delightful Lahori Fried Fish is now ready to be served.
