PESHAWAR: The repatriation process of illegal foreign nationals, primarily Afghans, to their homeland is progressing with utmost dignity and safety. On Monday alone, 1586 illegal Afghan nationals were successfully returned to Afghanistan. This follows the ongoing trend of daily repatriations, with the cumulative figure reaching 438,376 undocumented Afghans repatriated to Afghanistan.
Undocumented Afghans are departing from Pakistan daily, crossing the borders at Peshawar and Chaman, accompanied by their belongings. Notably, the government had set a deadline for undocumented immigrants to leave Pakistan by October 30, and a concerted effort is in motion to enforce this deadline. A crackdown is already underway against unrecorded Afghans residing in various parts of the country.
The repatriation initiative underscores the commitment to managing immigration in a systematic and organized manner, ensuring the safe return of individuals to their home country. As updates continue to emerge, the collaborative effort between Pakistan and Afghanistan in addressing this issue reflects the importance of a well-coordinated approach to migration challenges.
