Rescue Workers Find Body of Last Missing Student from Tanda Dam: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: The relief and rescue workers have managed to find the last missing student from the Tanda Dam on Friday, said a press release issued here by ISPR. The missing student was one of the ill-fated deceased who drowned in Tanda Dam a couple of days before.

The statement further said that on the orders of the Chief of Army Staff, Pakistan Army SSG and Corps of Engineers troops managed to find the body of the last missing student from the water. The rescue workers continued the operation for more than 48 hours until Army divers found the last missing body.

After the recent activity, all the deceased, 52 drowned students and staff, have been found. The army diving teams of SSG, army engineers, and Rescue 1122 also rescued 5 students alive from Tanda Dam a couple of days before when a boat carrying about 50 students of a local seminary capsized in Tanda Dam Kohat.
