MAKKAH: The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Holy Mosques (al-Masjid al-Ḥarām and Great Mosque of Makkah) has provided a robot that speaks 11 different languages to receive visitors at the King Abdulaziz Complex for Holy Kaaba Kiswa.
The robot will also familiarize visitors with services offered at the complex and can recognize faces, basic emotions and have voice interaction with visitors through hand motion and touch, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The robot can be operated non-stop
The machine weighs about 29 kilograms, has a battery life of nearly eight hours, a similar charge time, and a speed of three kilometers per hour. The robot can be operated non-stop when connected to electricity.
