ZAKHAKHEL, Pakistan: In a devastating incident near the Zakhakhel area of Khyber in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), six members of a single family, including four children and two women, lost their lives after the roof of their house collapsed during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The tragic incident occurred following three consecutive days of heavy rainfall in the region, which likely weakened the structure of the house.

The devastating collapse not only claimed lives but also caused significant damage to the possessions inside the house, including furniture and other articles. The local community has been left in shock and mourning as they grapple with the aftermath of the tragic event.

The incident underscores the urgent need for proper infrastructure maintenance and construction standards, especially in areas prone to heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions. Authorities are urged to conduct thorough investigations to determine the causes of the collapse and take necessary measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
