ISLAMABAD: The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) participates in the “Sindh Shield 2024” military drill in Pakistan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
The departing delegation was seen off by RSAF Commander Lieutenant General Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz at King Abdulaziz Air Base in the Eastern Sector.
The RSAF commander inspected the equipment to be used in the exercise and received a briefing on the readiness of the air, support and technical crews. The RSAF is taking part with six Tornado aircraft.
The RSAF commander stressed that the participation aims to strengthen ties and cooperation with Pakistani forces and other participating nations, showcase the capabilities and professionalism of the RSAF, and provide air and support crews with valuable fighting experience in irregular and electronic warfare environments.
Saudi Arabia, represented by its air force, is attending the “Sindh Shield 2024” exercise alongside Pakistan, as well as forces from Egypt and Turkiye.
