In interbank trading on Tuesday, the Pakistani rupee fell by Rs1.37 against the US dollar and ended at Rs 288.42, down from Rs 287.08 the day before.
The buying and selling rates of dollars on the open market were Rs 290 and Rs 293 respectively, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the price of the Euro rose by Rs 1.14 to close at Rs 314.29, up from Rs 313.15 the previous day.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs 2.16, down one paisa; whereas the British pound’s exchange rate rose by Rs1.92 to Rs356.47, up from Rs356.47 the previous day. It now trades at Rs358.39.
The Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal exchange rates increased by 36 paisas to close at Rs 78.53 and Rs 76.88, respectively.
