MOSCOW: According to Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Ukrainian officials have allegedly misappropriated between 20 percent and 36 percent of the financial aid provided by Western allies.
She specifically highlighted that this misappropriation involved former senior officials of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the enduring threat posed by Russia, stating that it’s crucial for everyone in Ukraine, especially those engrossed in politics and overlooking the ongoing war, to recognize that Russia remains capable of malevolent actions.
Zelenskyy stressed the necessity to remain vigilant, asserting, we cannot afford to turn a blind eye. Our defense must remain our utmost priority, bolstering our nation’s strength each passing day. He also expressed gratitude towards Italy’s Giorgia Meloni, Slovakia’s Zuzana Caputova, and Canada’s Justin Trudeau for their support of Ukraine.
