MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation on the ongoing normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, according to the Kremlin press service.
During their conversation, they also discussed Putin’s recent talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during his state visit to Baku.
The Kremlin statement emphasized Russia’s commitment to aiding both Armenia and Azerbaijan in developing a peace treaty, advancing border delimitation and demarcation, and unblocking regional transport and logistics connections.
The call also highlighted the positive trends in trade and economic interactions between Armenia and Russia. Both leaders agreed to maintain ongoing dialogue and collaboration.
