KYIV: A Russian missile hit a school in Nikopol in the central Ukraine of Dnipropetrovsk on Wednesday, killing four people, Ukrainian authorities said.

In a statement via social media Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said, ” Four persons died including a man, three women in Russian missile attack”. He added that two persons were also damaged in the attack. He maintained that medical treatment is being provided to injured people. The Minister said earlier that the victims were staff members of the educational institution.

Another official said that 50 private house s and two infrastructure facilities had been destroyed in the attack.
Moscow did not immediately comment over the strike. Russia has denied purposely targeting civilians.
