SUWON: In a strategic move to attract Apple users to its foldable technology, South Korean tech giant Samsung has introduced a unique update to its Try Galaxy app, allowing iPhone users to simulate the experience of using a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold by placing two iPhones side by side. This innovative feature is accessible on Android phones as well, and Samsung has now expanded the Try Galaxy app to work seamlessly on iPhones.

The unveiling of this feature follows closely on the heels of Samsung’s recent launch of its latest foldable phone models, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, in a high-profile event held in Seoul last month.

To use the app on an iPhone, users need to scan a QR code provided by Samsung, which is available in the company’s press release. This simple step grants users the ability to add a shortcut to Samsung’s Try Galaxy app directly to their iPhone’s home screen. Activating the shortcut initiates a simulation of Samsung’s One UI Android software.

Potential of Samsung’s Innovative Design

While the primary intention is to provide users a glimpse into the Galaxy Z Fold experience, individuals equipped with two iPhones can further explore the potential of Samsung’s innovative design. By utilizing two iPhones, users can imitate the expanded interface that the software offers on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold.

The simulation mode offers a selection of short demos, including an air hockey game and an animated underwater scene featuring a majestic whale and other aquatic creatures gracefully traversing across the screens. While these demos may not fully encapsulate the Galaxy Z Fold experience, they serve as demonstrations of how apps can be optimized to utilize the dual displays.
