RIYADH: The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Jawad Sohrab Malik, held a significant meeting with Ambassador Paula Narvez, who serves as the President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and is the Permanent Representative of Chile to the United Nations.
The core of the discussion focused on key themes related to migration dynamics, the essential need for equal opportunities, social responsibility, and the eradication of gender inequalities.
A specific emphasis was placed on promoting the inclusion and empowerment of women in economic activities, with a particular focus on Pakistan; the dialogue aimed to broaden the framework that enables women to participate freely as overseas workers.
Ambassador Paula Narvez praised Jawad Sohrab Malik’s dedicated efforts in advancing these vital agendas. The meeting highlighted a shared commitment to creating an environment that upholds equality and social responsibility principles, especially concerning international migration.
After the meeting, the SAPM remarked, “This collaborative effort aligns with the vision of the Pakistani government to ensure that overseas employment opportunities are accessible to all, irrespective of gender.
