RIYADH: The Saudi aid agency, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has continued its humanitarian work across the region to alleviate the suffering of the vulnerable communities.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Friday reported that KSrelief delivered a new batch of aid to the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization allocated for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The aid will be transferred through Jordanian land ports as part of the Saudi campaign to provide relief to those affected in the region. The aid consists of 30 trucks loaded with 10,560 shelter bags filled with essential supplies.
The aid agency also distributed 1,100 food baskets and 1,100 health bags to 6,600 individuals from 1,100 families in Tal Abyad city of Syria. This initiative, part of the second phase of a broader 2024 relief project, is aimed at assisting those affected by the recent earthquake in northern Syria.
Meanwhile, KSrelief delivered a new batch of hemodialysis solutions and supplies to the Fatima Babtain Center for kidney failure patients in Sayoun, Hadhramaut governorate, Yemen.
Amer Al-Amri, Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for Valley and Desert Affairs, emphasised the significance of this delivery from KSrelief, stating that it will help alleviate patient suffering and ensure the continuity of medical services at the centre. He expressed appreciation for the generous support provided by the Kingdom to his country.
In Jordan, the aid agency delivered medical services to 2,483 patients in Zaatari Camp for Syrian refugees during the first week of November.

The general medicine clinic attended 634 patients suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, and asthma. The SPA reported that the pediatric clinic received 285 children, while the emergency department treated 253 patients. Additionally, the dental clinic served 158 patients.
In total, 2,924 laboratory tests were conducted for 319 patients, and 144 X-rays were performed for 99 patients. Medications for chronic diseases were provided to 132 patients, while the physiotherapy department served 57 patients. The pharmacy recorded a total of 1,542 prescriptions.
The humanitarian efforts underscored the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to delivering urgent assistance to the affected areas in the region.
