MINA: The Commander of the Air Force Group participating in Hajj season, Brigadier General Pilot Sultan bin Mohammad bin Salih, has said that the Royal Saudi Air Forces (RSAF) are working round the clock to serve Hajj pilgrims, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

He said the RSAF is working within the comprehensive plan of the Ministry of Defense to support the efforts and plans of all security services and government agencies to provide all facilities to serve pilgrims by securing the airspace above the holy sites.

In a statement, he said the air forces are using their full potential and capabilities alongside all sectors participating in this year’s Hajj, in accordance with the royal directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and with follow-up by the Minister of Defence.

He added that the Air Forces’ responsibility is to monitor, organize and manage the airspace and supervise the air traffic in the holy sites for all aircraft participating in the Hajj season from other sectors.
