RIYADH: The Saudi Cabinet has condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ crimes against the Palestinian people, which constitute grave violations of international and global law.

The cabinet in its meeting on Tuesday discussed the ongoing situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and international efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire in Gaza, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session in Riyadh.

Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary, in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the meeting, said the Cabinet reviewed the ongoing developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and global efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.

He said the Cabinet commended the outcomes of recent discussions between senior Saudi officials and a high-level delegation from the new Syrian administration.

The Cabinet reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s steadfast commitment to Syria’s security and stability, highlighting its ongoing support for humanitarian aid and relief efforts for the Syrian people.

It reviewed the government’s recent activities, particularly those focused on enhancing cooperation with other nations, coordinating joint efforts to address global challenges, and contributing to a more prosperous future for the region and the world.

The Cabinet also assessed the progress of various development programmes, initiatives, and projects designed to improve service delivery to citizens, residents, and visitors.

These efforts are centred on diversifying the economy, identifying new revenue sources, and optimising the use of available resources and opportunities.
