RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia remains committed to providing vital aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip who have been affected by the Israel-Hamas conflict. Saudi aid agency KSrelief continues its efforts to deliver essential supplies. So far, a total of 573 tons of aid has been dispatched via El-Arish International Airport in Egypt.

The aid shipments, coordinated by KSrelief, have included 24 planes carrying a variety of necessities such as food baskets, shelter bags, tents, blankets, mattresses, winter clothing bags, dried baby food, dates, and medical materials.

Furthermore, 14 ambulances out of a total of 20 sent by KSrelief have already arrived in the Gaza Strip to provide much-needed medical support.

In a multi-faceted approach, KSrelief also utilized maritime transportation, sending three ships from Jeddah Islamic Port to Port Said in Egypt. These vessels carried 401 containers, with 258 containing crucial medical supplies for hospitals and 143 stocked with food and shelter provisions intended for transportation to Gaza. The ongoing humanitarian effort underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to aiding those affected by conflict and crisis in the region.

Meanwhile, KSrelief official Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz held talks in Riyadh with the UN resident coordinator in Yemen, David Gressly, addressing issues related to relief and humanitarian affairs in Yemen.

Additionally, officials from KSrelief and the Norwegian Refugee Council in Somalia signed a cooperation agreement on Sunday. The agreement outlines a support package worth $1.5 million aimed at the Burao Technical Institute in Somalia.
