Saudi Arabia Doubles Re-entry, Exit Renewal Fees for Expats Outside Country

ISLAMABAD: As per a new amendment that has been given the nod by the Saudi Cabinet, the fees for renewing re-entry and visa. The new set of rules applies only applies to residents who are outside the Kingdom.

Now for a maximum period of two months, the return and exit visa fees for a single trip are SR200. For every month inside Saudi Arabia, there is an additional charge of SR100. However, in case the resident is outside Saudi Arabia then for each extra month.

In case of multiple entry journeys, the levy that will now be charged for three months is SR500. Additionally, for each extra month, if the resident is inside the Kingdom, the levy charged would be SR200. However, in case the resident is outside, then the charge for each extra month would also be doubled.

Visa fee for companies, domestic workers of expats

In addition to these amendments, the Saudi Cabinet also altered the laws regarding an expatriate worker’s companion along with that of domestic workers. Under the new visa fee regime, if the foreign worker is outside and seeks residency renewal then the charge is double that of what is charged when applying while inside the Kingdom and applying through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic portal.
