RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a phone conversation with his counterparts from Spain and Britain on Wednesday and discussed regional developments and situation in the Middle East region.
Prince Faisal received a phone call from British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs David Lammy, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. During the phone conversation, they discussed regional developments and the efforts to address them.
Meanwhile, the Saudi foreign minister discussed regional developments during a phone call that he received from Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares.
Earlier Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a phone conversation with Secretary of State of the United States of America Antony Blinken to review the situation in the Middle East.
It is pertinent to mention that the Saudi Cabinet in a meeting on Tuesday condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ crimes against the Palestinian people, which constitute grave violations of international and global law.
The cabinet session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saudin discussed the ongoing situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and international efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
The Cabinet reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s steadfast commitment to Syria’s security and stability, highlighting its ongoing support for humanitarian aid and relief efforts for the Syrian people.
In November last year, Saudi Arabia hosted the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh aiming to stop the Israeli aggression, provide support to the Palestinian and Lebanese people and establish peace and stability in the region.
