RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) expressed satisfaction with the positive steps being taken to ensure the safety of the Syrian people, and preserve the institutions and capabilities of the Syrian state, the Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is closely monitoring the rapid developments in Syria and expresses its satisfaction with the positive steps taken to ensure the safety of the Syrian people, prevent bloodshed, and preserve Syria’s state institutions and capacities.
Reaffirming its unwavering support for the Syrian people and their choices during this critical juncture in the country’s history, the Kingdom calls for unified efforts to safeguard Syria’s unity and cohesion, the SPA reported.
These efforts are essential to protecting Syria from sliding into chaos and division, it added. The Kingdom affirms its support for all measures aimed at achieving Syria’s security and stability while preserving its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, the SPA reported.

The Kingdom has urged the international community to stand by the Syrian people and cooperate with them in ways that serve Syria’s national interests and fulfill the aspirations of its citizens, the SPA added.
It calls for avoiding interference in Syria’s internal affairs and providing meaningful support during this pivotal phase to help the nation overcome the devastating consequences of years of suffering.
This prolonged crisis has claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, displaced millions, and witnessed foreign militias attempting to impose external agendas on the Syrian people, the SPA added.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) emphasizes that it is time for the Syrian people to live the dignified life they deserve.
All segments of society must come together to shape a prosperous future characterized by security, stability, and progress, according to the SPA.
It is also time for Syria to reclaim its rightful place and stature within the Arab and Islamic worlds, the SPA further said.
