ISLAMABAD: The Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh is hosting the LEAP 2023 international tech conference at which the country’s first robot “Sara” is welcoming guests at the Saudi Digital Pavilion in the Saudi dialects.
A Twitter video post highlighted the LEAP 2023 event’s happenings:
On Monday, under the theme “Towards New Horizons” the conference’s second edition commenced at the capital’s Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center, which will run until 9 February.
Robot Sara speaks in dialects of Saudi Arabia
“Sara” is the outcome of cooperation between Qss Company and Saudi Digital and the robot can interact with visitors via communication like answering their queries as well as presenting performances of popular dances.
“Sara” is equipped with a AI-capable camera, which is able to recognize how far people are standing in front of it.

The robot begins a session of conversation after the visitor says the phrase “Hello Sara”.
The robot possesses a pre-trained model that is capable of recognizing the different Saudi dialects, and is able to understands the content of sentences after analyzing them, following which it provides the best answer and sends it in text form.
