Saudi Arabia Highlights Mining, Industry Opportunities to Chinese Investors

BEIJING: The Saudi Arabia Industry and Mineral Resources Minister, Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef, held a meeting with Chinese investors in Shanghai, where they explored investment prospects in mining and industry within the Kingdom.

The meeting was attended by Khalid Al-Salem, President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Khalid Al-Mudaifer, Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs, as well as other key industry and mining officials.

During the gathering, the focus was on highlighting significant investment opportunities presented by Saudi Arabia in the industrial and mining sectors.

The Saudi delegation emphasized the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and the wide array of opportunities available in various industrial segments. The discussion delved into the various measures, initiatives, and incentives put forth by the ministry to create an appealing investment environment, address investor challenges, and provide necessary support.

Saudi Arabia Vision 2030

Furthermore, the Saudi officials elaborated on the mining sector’s goals under Saudi Vision 2030, outlining the global opportunities it offers for mineral exploration and investment.

The meeting also shed light on Saudi Arabia’s mining investment framework and the objectives of its mining strategy. Minister Alkhorayef’s official visit to the People’s Republic of China serves the purpose of strengthening economic partnerships in the industrial and mining sectors. It also aims to evaluate high-quality investment possibilities between the two nations and inform the Chinese counterparts about the Kingdom’s initiatives aimed at bolstering the strategic sectors of industry and mining.
