RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia has launched an “air bridge” to deliver medical supplies and food aid to Lebanon, responding to the humanitarian crisis exacerbated by recent conflicts.
A cargo plane departed from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, carrying over 40 tons of essential relief materials.
Accompanying the supplies is a relief team designated for rescue operations. Since Israel intensified its air campaign against Hezbollah strongholds on September 23, the death toll in Lebanon has risen above 1,150, with more than a million people displaced.
Other nations, including the United Arab Emirates, Turkiye, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Romania, and France, are also contributing aid to support those affected by the ongoing violence.
