RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim officially launched the “Data Saudi” platform on the margins of the LEAP 2024 technology event held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center.

The prestigious tech event was attended by tens of thousands of representatives from local and international companies and speakers and experts from 180 nations, according Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Data Saudi platform was set up on a trial basis in September last year. Since its launch by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the platform has undergone multiple updates and has been augmented by several features.

Platform a Unified Reference for Economic, Social Data in Saudi Arabia

The platform aims to be the unified reference for economic and social data in Saudi Arabia, facilitating access to data, and increasing transparency of information related to the national economy, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

The platform includes important indicators and provides the ability to view them throughout the Kingdom and across its regions through interactive and visual methods that facilitate users’ access to details on the Saudi social and economic sectors.

The indicators displayed by the platform include diverse and accurate information in different sectors. Key economic indicators such as workers’ remittances, international trade balance, capital-account balance, and current-account balance are featured.

The platform also includes several social indicators, such as births and newborns, population density, and a population pyramid.
