RIYADH: Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Saudi Arabia has launched a training program for foreign Hajj pilgrim groups’ leaders before their arrival in the country. The program will help to provide proper facilitation and other assistance to the pilgrims during Hajj.

The first session was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where more than 30 group leaders participated.

The event aims to improve the quality of service being provided to the pilgrims, facilitate their trips, and enrich their cultural and religious experience, as per the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The move, which came under the directions of Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman and King Salman, was sponsored and graced by Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Arab news reported.

More sessions will be arranged in other countries before the Hajj season of the current year.

The training program includes a detailed explanation and information about the pilgrims’ trip while covering all aspects of performing Hajj and skills required for crowd management.

The training center would be there to work with all relevant agencies involved with Hajj and Umrah both within the Kingdom and outside the country. It contributes to raising the quality and standard of administrative and field services offered to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and provides the best programs to teach and prepare trainees.
