RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has continued to maintain global dominance in date exports and production for 2023, with date exports exceeding SAR1.463 billion in the previous year, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
According to a report by the National Center for Palms and Dates, by the end of 2023, Saudi dates had reached consumers in 119 countries. The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) also reported a production volume exceeding 1.9 million tons.
Since 2016, the value of date exports has doubled, showing a remarkable annual growth rate of 12.3%. This massive growth across numerous markets is a testament to the unwavering support of the wise leadership and the collaborative efforts of date producers, exporters, and government agencies.
