RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Education Minister Yousef Al-Benyan held a meeting with the organizing committee of the 56th annual International Chemistry Olympiad to be held in Riyadh in July this year, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
According to the SPA, the meeting was attended by several officials including Faisal Al-Dweish, chairman of the board of directors of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, Mawhiba.
The event to be held from July 21 to 30, with participants from 89 countries, is being sponsored by the Saudi Basic Industries Corp, and organized by the ministry, Mawhiba and King Saud University.
During the meeting with the international steering committee members, Al-Benyan discussed Saudi Arabia’s preparations to host the Olympiad.
