Some parts of Jazan, Najran, Baha, Asir, and Makkah would see thundershowers, heavy winds and fog, while the bad weather would extend to Madinah, the National Center of Meteorology said. The center also warned of fog in the Northern Borders, Tabuk, Hail, Jawf, and Qassim regions.

Rain in Riyadh

The temperature fell to a low of 9 degrees Celsius in Riyadh on Friday. The wind speed was 5 kph, while the relative humidity topped out at 90 %.

A thick blanket of clouds over Riyadh’s skyline added to the gloomy picture and pushed most residents to stay indoors. A resident Abdullah Ahmed told the media that they are avoiding travel due to the inclement weather. He added that the people should stay at home to spend time with their families following heavy rain in Riyadh.  The Civil Defense Directorate urged the people to take precautions measures and stay away from streams of torrents, valleys, dams, water pools, and electrical boxes in the streets.
