RIYADH: The Saudi Cabinet on Tuesday reaffirmed support for sustaining the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the delivery of increased humanitarian and relief aid.
The cabinet also stressed to facilitate the safe return of displaced civilians to their homes in the Palestinian territory, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session.
Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary in a statement to the SPA following the meeting said that the Crown Prince briefed the cabinet on his meetings with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and on his phone conversation with European Council President António Costa.
The cabinet reviewed the latest developments in cooperation between Saudi Arabia and other countries and international organisations.
The cabinet also reviewed progress on collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening communication and coordination, contributing to global security and stability, and fostering an environment conducive to regional development and prosperity for all its people.
Al-Dossary added that the cabinet addressed regional and global developments and the international efforts undertaken in response.

The cabinet endorsed the statement issued by the Arab Six-Party meeting on Palestine, in which Saudi Arabia took part, which reaffirmed support for sustaining the ceasefire agreement, ensuring the delivery of increased humanitarian and relief aid, and facilitating the safe return of displaced civilians to their homes in the Gaza Strip.
The cabinet also reviewed the outcomes of the economic gatherings held in Riyadh recently, commending the successful conclusion of the Global Labor Market Conference, during which 70 agreements and memoranda of understanding between government agencies and private companies were signed to benefit over 300,000 individuals.
