RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a phone conversation with Secretary of State of the United States of America Antony Blinken on Monday and discussed regional developments.
During the phone call, they discussed regional developments and the efforts to address them, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
During his visit to South Korea on Monday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged for a final push towards securing a ceasefire in Gaza before President Joe Biden leaves office.
“We very much want to bring this over the finish line in the next two weeks, the time we have remaining,” Blinken told a news conference.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Foreign Minister has met with the US Ambassador to Lebanon Amos Hochstein at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, they reviewed current regional issues, including developments in Lebanon and the efforts being made to address them.
In October last year, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Riyadh.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the Saudi-American relationship and areas of mutual cooperation. They also discussed recent regional and global developments, including the situation in Gaza and Lebanon, and efforts to halt military operations while addressing their security and humanitarian impacts.
Saudi Foreign Minister also received Blinken during the visit where the two sides discussed developments in Gaza and Lebanon and efforts made with regard to them were discussed.
