Saudi Arabia Welcomes UNGA Resolution to End Illegal Presence in Occupied Palestinian Territories

RIYADH: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) welcoming of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of a resolution on “ending the illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territories” which was voted on during the emergency special session, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The SPA reported that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) stresses the need to take practical and credible measures to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions in a way that ensure the Palestinians’ inherent right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital city.
