Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Arrives in Qatar to Attend GCC Meetings

DOHA: The foreign minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has arrived in Doha to take part in the 160th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council meeting and the GCC ministerial meetings with Türkiye and Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

The top Saudi diplomat was received by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, at Doha International Airport.

Saudi Ambassador to Qatar Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan and GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi said that the ministerial council will discuss several reports regarding the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council that were issued at the 44th conference in Doha in December 2023, as well as memorandums.

He said that the session will also discuss dialogues and strategic ties between the GCC countries and other countries and blocs across the world, and regional and global developments.
