Saudi Authority is First in World to Receive ISO’s New AI Management System Certification

Riyadh: The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has received the ISO 27001:2022 certificate for executing accurate and comprehensive standards in data protection and ensuring information security in the Saudi Private Network for Government Integration (SPINE), the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

According to the SPA, SPINE is one of SDAIA’s products designed to connect more than 300 government entities to exchange data and services and unify the connection mechanism to decrease financial costs. The SPA reported that SDAIA National Information Center Director Dr. Esam bin Abdullah Al-Wagait has received the certificate in the presence of several SDAIA officials and the national team that worked on this achievement.

SDAIA has obtained the global certificate following applying best practices and standards in areas such as risk management, maintaining information confidentiality, data protection, and ensuring business continuity in networks, data exchange, communications, and services.

The ISO 27001:2022 certificate is a global standard that defines the needs for creating, executing, and improving the processing of security challenges in modern technology, such as cyber threats, data protection, and ensuring business continuity.

According to the SPA, this certificate is part of a series of global certificates that SDAIA has obtained in the sector of data and Artificial Intelligence, reflecting its commitment to achieving the highest standards of quality and institutional excellence in all areas.
