PARIS: French Minister of Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu has received the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who is on an official trip to France, at the national military museum of France, in Paris, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
According to the SPA, an official reception was held in honor of the Saudi Defense Minister in the Ceremonial Square, during which the guard of honor was passed in review and the national anthems were played.
The SPA reported that the two ministers then held an official discussion during which they discussed the strategic ties between the two nations, military and defense cooperation and means to enhance and develop it, as well as their nations’ common vision for the stability and security of the region. They also discussed the latest regional and global developments, the SPA added.

After the talks, a draft executive plan for cooperation in military industries, and research and development was inked by the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the Ministry of the Armed Forces of France.
Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz concluded his trip by writing a statement in the official visitors’ book of the office of French Minister of Armed Forces, the SPA added.
The talks were attended by Chief of General Staff General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defense Eng. Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Saudi envoy to France Fahd bin Mayouf Al-Ruwaili, and several other top officials from both sides.
