Saudi Defense Ministry Ready to Provide Air Ambulance Service During Hajj

MAKKAH: The Saudi Health Services of the Ministry of Defense announced that it will continue to provide air ambulance service during Hajj season, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

The ministry said the emergency service will be available, in cooperation with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the Presidency of State Security, represented by Security Aviation, where it has allocated the most modern aircraft in the world, equipped with the latest emergency medical equipment, to cover the holy sites during Hajj season.

Assistant Commander of the mission, Brigadier General Dr. Bandar bin Mohammad Al-Juaid, explained to the SPA that this year, air ambulance aircrafts of the Armed Forces Medical Services are equipped around the clock to support in emergencies and shift those whose health conditions require support to the Armed Forces hospitals.

He added that medical evacuation has equipped emergency plane hospitals, recovery and intensive care rooms, including operating, laboratories, radiology units, and oxygen machines that work for 4 hours inside the plane.
