DOHA: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs Eng. Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salamah led the delegation at the 53rd GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee meeting held in Doha, Qatar, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The SPA said that the meeting discussed various topics of mutual interest that aim to advance the industrial fields in GCC nations, enhance coordination, and exchange of expertise and knowledge to support GCC economic integration.
Among the major focuses of the meeting were innovation, advanced technology, and Fourth Industrial Revolution techniques within the industrial sector, the SPA reported. Eng. bin Salamah attended a consultative meeting with GCC ministers of trade and industry and heads of chambers as well as federations, the SPA said.

Eng. bin Salamah also attended the Gulf Inventors’ Award Ceremony, which honored 12 inventors—two from each member country—to encourage innovation and creativity. The event took place as part of the Second Gulf Industrial Exhibition, the SPA further reported.
