AMMAN: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister for Environment Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli held a meeting with Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh in Amman on Thursday, local media reported on Thursday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the two sides discussed means to boost cooperation in environment, water, agriculture, trade, and knowledge exchange during the meeting. They also reviewed water and food security challenges. The two leaders also affirmed the strength of Saudi-Jordanian ties, which are overseen by Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah.
Saudi Environment Minister, Jordanian PM Vow to Enhance Cooperation
Jordan’s Prime Minister said Amman and its citizens wanted to further strengthen relations with Riyadh. The PM also emphasized Jordanian King’s progressive approach to regional and international food security, encouraging governments to cooperate and leverage their strengths, especially given the current challenges posed by the COVID-19 epidemic and Ukraine war.
Saudi Minister said there were huge opportunities for coordination with Amman in agriculture, environment, and water sectors. Jordan’s Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat and Saudi envoy in Amman Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi were also present on the occasion.
