RIYADH: Keeping in view the contemporary advancement in the field of fashion and designing, the Fashion Commission of Saudi Arabia has announced the launch of the application process for applicants who wish to join the costume design program.
The program will begin in January and till March 2023 in Jeddah. It included proper training for Saudi fashion designers who can develop their skills in designing costumes and theatrical wear to become true professionals.
The program also offers successful participants historical and cultural awareness, provides practical and technological skills for research and design, and will assist in creating costumes for cinema and theater.
Fashion Commission courses
The program will accommodate about 15 Saudi nationals through practical and theoretical training in making custom clothing and accessories. The dedicated curricula in fashion and textiles cover design and production techniques, Photoshop, and cutting patterns that contribute to the flourishing of artistic talent and experience.
Training modules of the program comprise various topics, such as fashion, the history of Saudi fashion, accessories, design techniques, textiles, sewing, Photoshop, and others.
The applicants who wish to apply to the program must be Saudi nationals, having an age not less than 22 years, with fluency in English. The successful applicants will also qualify for the follow-up interview.
Besides, the program is scheduled to be held in Jeddah, while having practical experience with basic qualifications in the field of costume designing and fashion, in general, is also a requirement.
