RIYADH: Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has received a phone call from the United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken to discuss situation in Gaza, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

During the call, the two ministers discussed the danger of the ongoing military escalation in Gaza and its surroundings, and the importance of working to defuse tensions.
They also called upon the international community to act collectively to reduce the repercussions of this crisis to maintain international peace and security.

The two sides also discussed regional and international developments and the efforts made on to address them.
Earlier Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry called for an end to an escalation of violence in Gaza. The foreign ministry of Saudi Arabia also called for all parties to respect international law.
