Saudi Foreign Minister Arrives in New York for UNGA 79

NEW YORK:  Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived in New York City on Friday to lead the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79), the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Kingdom’s delegation includes Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz and a group of ministers, including Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley and Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim.

Additionally, Adviser to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Deputyship Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, and Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Abdulaziz Alwasil are part of the delegation.

Saudi Foreign Minister and the Kingdom’s delegation will engage in several official meetings, aiming to enhance multilateral international work and discuss developments on regional and international fronts.

The meetings will also address endeavors to establish global security and peace and joint efforts to achieve sustainable development goals. The Saudi delegation will hold bilateral meetings with representatives of brotherly and friendly countries on the sidelines of UNGA 79 session.
