MANAMA: Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on Saturday met with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue 2023, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the recent developments in the Gaza Strip. Saudi Foreign Minister reiterated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s rejection of the continued military escalation and violations committed by the Israeli occupation troops against Palestinian civilians. He stressed the importance of stopping the escalation and forced displacement of Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip.
The Saudi Foreign Minister also stressed the importance of securing immediate humanitarian corridors for sending relief aid to civilians, particularly children and women, in Gaza. He called on the international community to take a stance against all blatant violations of international humanitarian law practiced by the Israeli occupation forces against innocent civilians in Gaza.
Saleh bin Falah Al-Otaibi, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Saudi Embassy to Bahrain, also attended the meeting.
