RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel has granted premium residency to 2,645 exceptional healthcare professionals, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
He announced that 152 priority healthcare specializations including doctors and other practitioners from 56 nations, have received Premium Residency (Special Talent Residency), marking a major step forward for the Kingdom’s healthcare sector.
In the announcement at the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh, Al-Jalajel said that this step aligns with previous healthcare transformation efforts, aiming to bolster the sector’s foundation by attracting and retaining top healthcare professionals.
These professionals are vital for knowledge transfer and global expertise, enabling the development of a strong national healthcare workforce.
Al-Jalajel said that this step is consistent with the current phase’s focus on promoting human health, enhancing the quality of life and improving prevention measures, aligning with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program, a major component of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Premium Residency Center offers seven residency products: Special Talent Residency, Gifted Residency, Investor Residency, Entrepreneur Residency, Real Estate Owner Residency, Limited Duration Residency, and Unlimited Duration Residency.
These products provide holders with numerous benefits, such as the right to live in Saudi Arabia with their families, own property, host relatives, conduct business, and travel to and from the Kingdom without a visa. Holders can also benefit from partnerships with government entities.
