Saudi King Salman Approves Hosting 1,000 Umrah Pilgrims in 2024

RIYADH: King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has granted approval for the hosting of 1,000 Umrah pilgrims from across the globe in the year 2024.

This falls under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, which is currently being executed by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Expressing gratitude, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, thanked King Salman, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for this benevolent gesture. He highlighted that this demonstrates the Kingdom’s significant commitment to serving Islam and Muslims, fostering brotherhood among Muslims worldwide, and promoting meaningful engagement with those involved in various aspects of Islamic work.

Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh Thanks Kingdom for 1,000 Umrah Pilgrims 

Al-Sheikh said that the Guests Program aims to host 1,000 distinguished Islamic figures globally, including scholars, sheikhs, intellectuals, influential individuals, and university professors, allowing them to perform Umrah and offer prayers in the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

The minister praised the ongoing substantial support being received by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, which contributes to the successful fulfillment of its mission to serve Islam and Muslims, preach Islamic values and principles, and counteract hatred, fanaticism, and extremism.
