RABAT: Salman Al-Dosari, the minister of media for Saudi Arabia, emphasized the need for a joint Arab mechanism to counter internet content that violates moral, cultural, and religious standards.
Al-Dosari urged Arab nations to take a unified approach against foreign media organizations that publish questionable content while addressing the 53rd session of the Council of Arab Media Ministers, which was held in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
He explained that all Arab countries are threatened by the publication of damaging content online and called for cooperation to create efficient defenses against these internet platforms. He conveyed King Salman of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s greetings and their best wishes for the session’s success.
The Saudi minister noted the 32nd Arab Summit held in Jeddah last May and its call for enhancing joint Arab action as evidence that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always supported Arab causes and solidarity in addressing regional issues and transformations since its founding.
Al-Dosari claimed that a number of subjects, including the Arab Counter-Terrorism Strategy created by Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), are put on the agenda for the Council of Arab Media Ministers session.
