Saudi Minister Declares Tajikistan’s Plans Compatible with Kingdom’s Vision 2030

ISLAMABADSaudi Arabia and Tajikistan on Saturday kicked off the bilateral Saudi-Tajik Investment Forum in the Tajik capital Dushanbe.

In attendance were the Saadi Kadirzadeh, Chairman of the Tajikistan’s Investment and State Property Committee, and Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Saudi Minister of Investment, along with representatives of both countries’ government and private sector companies.

Al Falih spoke about the reasons why strengthening mutual ties with Tajikistan is important to Riyadh. The Saudi minister emphasized on Riyadh’s role in the Central Asian state’s development process. He talked about Tajikistan’s tourism, agriculture, trade exchange, and clean energy sectors and highlighted how interaction can bring a mutually sustainable and positive impact.

Saudi Vision 2030 envisions country as among top 15 global economies

The Saudi Minister of Investment declared Tajikistan’s long-term ambitions and aspirations where in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. He explained that Riyadh aims to establish his country’s economy as among the top 15 by 2030.

He explained that Tajikistan’s ambitions of Tajikistan were similar to those of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to reform and push the Kingdom’s economy to be one of the 15 largest economies in the world by 2030.

The two sides, Tajik Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Federation of Saudi Chambers inked a deal to set up the Saudi-Tajik Joint Business Council. Apart from this, several other deals were agreed upon.
