JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah and Chairman of the Pilgrim Experience Program (PEP) Tawfig bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah has concluded his official visit to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, leading a high-level delegation of PEP leaders, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
During the visit, several consultative and introductory meetings were held to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan in the services sector for pilgrims and visitors. The discussions were aimed at enhancing and enriching the experience of the pilgrims and visitors to enable them to perform their Hajj and Umrah with comfort and ease.
Minister Al-Rabiah also warmly welcomed pilgrims from Central Asian states, particularly Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, through various ports throughout the year, reiterating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment and dedication to providing care for the pilgrims and ensuring that the largest number of Muslims can perform the religious rituals with ease and peace of mind. The Saudi government places high emphasis on welcoming pilgrims from different nations and strives to offer the best services to improve their experience and ensure their comfort and safety.
These visits are part of the global communication efforts to support the PEP objectives, one of the initiatives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The program aims to fulfill the expectations of pilgrims and visitors from different parts of the around the world by improving coordination and collaboration with relevant authorities. The goal is to enhance the overall experience of pilgrims, ensure their comfort throughout their journey and facilitate hosting more pilgrims and visitors.
