Saudi Minister of Interior Affirms Kingdom’s Commitment to Safe Hajj for Pilgrims

MINA: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz has emphasized the Kingdom’s unwavering dedication to serving pilgrims and ensuring their security and safety throughout the Hajj season, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

During a meeting with Hajj Security Committee members and security and military leaders of participating agencies, he expressed his appreciation for the exceptional efforts of military and security personnel involved in this year’s Hajj season. Their professionalism and readiness will address any potential disruptions have been instrumental in maintaining a peaceful and secure environment for pilgrims during the Hajj season.

Highlighting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) collaborative approach, Prince Abdulaziz has underscored the seamless integration and coordination between various security authorities, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of National Guard, the Presidency of State Security, the General Intelligence Presidency, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, and the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority. This synergy has played a key role in ensuring the smooth arrival and well-being of Hajj pilgrims at the holy sites.

The Minister further directed all participating department to redouble their efforts in facilitating and supporting pilgrims across the remaining Hajj season, ensuring their safe and comfortable return to their homelands.

In his briefing, Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Bassami presented a comprehensive overview of the Hajj security forces’ accomplishments during the initial phases of the implemented security plans. He has reaffirmed the unwavering readiness of all security and military agencies to implement the remaining phases of the security plans, prioritizing the security, safety, and peace of mind of all pilgrims.
