Saudi Minister of State, German State Secretary Explore Opportunities for Collaboration

NEW YORK: Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir has met with State Secretary and Special Envoy for International Climate Action at the German Foreign Office, Jennifer Morgan on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The two sides explored opportunities for enhanced collaboration in environment and climate change. They discussed the Kingdom’s initiatives in this field and exchanged views on international efforts to safeguard the environment and mitigate the impacts of climate change.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, also met with the President of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly Ambassador Philemon Yang, in New York.

The two officials reviewed the most prominent international and regional issues and developments, along with the Kingdom’s role, programs and initiatives in climate, environmental conservation, and planetary protection.

Topics on the agenda of the current session of the General Assembly also came under discussion.
